The Paper Pup

Real wooden dogs like this are cut on a laser, then pinned together so every leg can swing. Paint the pieces, press Finish, and watch yours walk.

How the real one is made

A laser cutter burns the body and each leg out of thin wood in one pass — that dark edge is the scorch line. Then a little pin goes through a hole in the leg and a hole in the body, loose enough to swing freely. Four legs, one tail, five pins — and the dog can walk.
